Salty salsa and Huixtocihuatl
A salt soap test. In comparison I have a recipe from A. Schaaf comparatively conventional ingredients and composition, and a self-built almost entirely from foam fats (babassu and coconut), and lanolin and castor oil as foam supporters. Both soaps the glue was not colored and it has been used as much salt as fat. Since salt soaps tend to crumble, I have all poured into individual molds. So some of the most forms of soap are there;).
A comparison of salt soaps. I compared a recipe by A. Schaaf consisting of rather usual ingredients and composition and a self-made recipe almost only with foaming oils (coconut and babassu), as well as lanolin and castor oil to support the lather. Both soaps were not colored and I used as much salt as oils. Since salt soaps are a bit crumbly, I casted all of it in single molds. So there are a few bars of each soap;).
Some time ago I was my 1st Exchange (see here ) With Weird of WeirdandTwisted brought back to me to deal with essential oils. You may not Parfömöle and had asked me why, the things scented with ÄÖs. After my first and not too good-smelling scents from the trials of nature I had put the whole thing a few years ago for the first time pretty much shelved. But if you are incorporating a bit, then the mixtures succeed! And so I did it so thanks to Weird that more and more soaps are scented with ÄÖs of me:).
Quite some time ago, my first barter with Weird WeirdAndTwisted of made me go deeper into the topic of essential oils. After my first and not-so-well-smelling tries with natural scents some years ago, I was pretty much done with that. But if you do a little research in POs, then the mixtures work! And thus, I have to thank Weird for making me scent more and more of my soaps with POs:)
Salty salsa is my own recipe composition, and it was with a mixture of essential oils of juniper, lavender, Litsea Cubeba, lime and rosemary scented. Packed it looks like this (ah yes, not surprisingly, the weather was bad again when shooting ...):
Salty salsa my own composition and it was scented with a mixture of juniper, lavender, Litsea, lime and rosemary EOs. Wrapped up, it looks like this (oh well, the weather agaaaaain sucked during the photo session ...).
Huixtocihuatl is named after the Aztec goddess of salt and boiled according to the published recipe from above source. Also I have this soap scented with essential oils. Lemon, rosemary, lime and Litsea Cubeba give the mixture a sparkling facility, which was grounded with cypress, sandalwood and Amyris something. I forgot to photograph it before packing, so even those salt soap already fix & finish:
Huixtocihuatl was named after the Aztec goddess of salt and I made it according to the given recipe mentioned above. This soap, too, is scented with EOs only. Lemon, rosemary, lime and Litsea give this mix a tangy lightness Which Was earthed with cypress, sandalwood and Amyris. I forgot to take a pic before wrapping, so this salt soap is ready to be given away as a present:
Both soaps are already about 3 months old, but I give them a bit more, until I anwasche:).
Both soaps are about 3 months old but a bit more curing will not hurt until I give them a first wash;).
